What is the difference between telehealth and telemedicine?
Telehealth is different from telemedicine because it refers to a broader scope of remote healthcare services than telemedicine. While telemedicine refers specifically to remote clinical services, telehealth can refer to remote non-clinical services, such as provider training, administrative meetings, and continuing medical education, in addition to clinical services.
The Arizona Telemedicine Program
The Arizona Telemedicine Program is a large, multidisciplinary, university-based program that provides telemedicine services, distance learning, informatics training, and telemedicine technology assessment capabilities to communities throughout Arizona, the sixth largest state in the United States, in square miles.
American Telemedicine Association
The American Telemedicine Asssociation is focused on advancing telehealth and how the world thinks about healthcare. The focus is on ensuring that everyone has acces to safe, effective, and appropriate care when and where they need it. They recently launched an app.
